A woman, Uzoma Austin living at 5, Adesoji St., Agiliti, Mile 12, Lagos, had set her 12 years old daughter on fire for stealing N1000 on Thursday, June 8.
She was rescued by the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT). She is currently receiving treatment at THE Gbagada General Hospital, while her mum was arrested and taken to an Ogudu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos where she was sentenced to 14 and seven years imprisonment or to bail herself with the sum of N50,000.
