Singer Portable Shows Off New Look After Prison Release, Apologizes to Fuji Star Saheed Osupa

Controversial Nigerian street-hop singer Portable has revealed his new look after being released from prison in Ilorin. The singer, who was earlier remanded for failing to meet bail conditions, now sports a completely shaved head and has publicly apologized to Fuji legend Saheed Osupa.

Portable’s legal trouble started after he allegedly made defamatory and threatening statements against Saheed Osupa. The police arrested him, and he was remanded in a correctional facility for failing to meet his bail conditions, which included a payment of ₦1 million and two sureties, one of whom had to be the Chairman of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN). The case was originally scheduled to continue on April 30, 2025.

However, in a surprising turn of events, Saheed Osupa withdrew the case. According to a statement from his team, the decision was not out of personal anger but was made after listening to pleas from respected Nigerians. They explained that the legal action was meant to discourage misconduct and uphold respect for intellectual property and professional boundaries in the entertainment industry.

Portable’s Public Apology

After his release, Portable didn’t waste time. He took to social media, shared a photo of Saheed Osupa, and wrote:

“God bless you sir, am sorry Bami.”

This message was seen as a public show of remorse and a sign that the singer had learned a valuable lesson.
