Nollywood actor Gabriel Afolayan is reflecting on his decades-long acting journey following his recent win at the 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA).


Afolayan clinched the Best Supporting Actor award for his outstanding performance in Inside Life. Taking to his Instagram page, the actor proudly displayed his AMVCA trophy and shared the milestones of his career.


He revealed that he began acting in 1990 as a child star with legendary comic actor Baba Sala, took a break for school, and made a comeback in 2000. By 2005, he had gained fame and has since remained consistent in the industry.


“Got into the game in 1990 through Baba Sala as a child actor. School breaks. Made a comeback in 2000. Fame kicked in 2005. 2005-2025… Decades of consistent hard work. Fame before fortune. Omo Olodun so pe purrr! AMVCA11. AMVCA2025. WINNER,” he wrote.
