Big Brother Naija Season 4 winner, Mercy Eke, has addressed a fan's question about when she plans to have children. The fan, via Snapchat, had asked the reality star, “When you wan born this girl ehn fine girl?” prompting Mercy to reply with a candid and composed response.
Mercy explained that while having children is a beautiful part of life, there is much more to living, and she won’t put unnecessary pressure on herself.
“Having kids is a beautiful part of life, but there’s so much more to living. I can’t kill myself, alright?” she responded.
Mercy has previously dropped hints about marriage. Last year, after attending actress Sharon Ooja’s wedding, she stated that she was ready for marriage and even joked about settling down with a woman. She reaffirmed her readiness for marriage in another post where she appeared in a bridal-themed lace dress, hinting that she might walk down the aisle in 2025.
Mercy Eke has managed to keep her current relationship private. However, during the BBNaija All Stars season, she revealed that she was dating a billionaire. According to her, this mysterious man offered her the show’s grand prize of ₦120 million to avoid appearing on the show, but she declined. She also mentioned that her fellow housemate, Frodd, knows the man in question.
Although Mercy has received luxurious gifts from this mystery partner — including a dollar bouquet she proudly showed off online — she has not revealed his identity.
Mercy once dated fellow BBNaija star Ike Onyema, and they were fan favorites during and shortly after their season. However, the relationship ended, and the former couple has remained distant.
She was also briefly linked to Pere Egbi, another BBNaija housemate, after they were spotted together and even caught kissing. Unfortunately, the relationship did not last, and they have since unfollowed each other on social media.
As of now, Mercy Eke remains focused on her personal growth and career, choosing to live on her own terms despite public pressure.
