Nollywood actor Dare Agbejo has opened up about a deeply humiliating experience he endured while filming on a Yoruba movie set. In an interview shared on the official YouTube channel of Feelrightnews, Dare revealed how he was publicly embarrassed by a senior colleague over an incident involving a woman—identified as the sidechick of another actor.
According to Dare, the woman approached him during the movie shoot and asked him to buy her a soft drink. He declined the request politely, explaining that she likely didn’t know who he was. However, the woman responded rudely, saying she didn’t care about his identity. She then reported him to her lover, a senior actor on set.
The situation quickly escalated as the senior actor gathered the entire cast and crew and began humiliating Dare in front of everyone. He insisted that Dare either prostrate to the woman or leave the movie set altogether.
“The actor said I must choose between prostrating to beg his sidechick or leaving his movie set,” Dare recounted emotionally.
Despite advice from his junior colleagues to walk away, Dare said he chose to prostrate before the woman and apologize, even though it deeply hurt his pride. Overwhelmed with emotion, he began crying in front of the other actors.
“My boys asked me to leave the movie set, but I chose to beg the lady by prostrating to her in front of other actors, and I started crying,” he added.
Dare’s story has stirred strong reactions online, with fans and colleagues expressing shock over the disrespect he faced and praising him for speaking out. Many have also called for better treatment and mutual respect among actors on set, regardless of their seniority.
