“Four Men Left Me After Consulting Prophets” – Tope Alabi Shares Her Past Struggles With Love Before Marriage

Gospel singer Tope Alabi has opened up about the emotional challenges she faced in her search for love before eventually finding her husband.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, the 54-year-old singer revealed that as she grew older and began considering marriage, she noticed a strange pattern with her suitors. Whenever it was time to formally introduce them to her parents, things would suddenly fall apart.

“When I became an adult and it was time to take men to meet my parents, something strange always happened. The men would say they needed to pray about it, and afterward, they never contacted me again,” she said.

According to her, many of the breakups were blamed on spiritual revelations. She recalled that one of the intermediaries even told her that a suitor had gone to consult prophets, who told him not to marry her.

“At least four men stylishly left me like that,” she added.

Despite the painful rejections, Alabi said she never stopped thanking God for how everything turned out.

She eventually met her husband through her boss at work. Even then, she was cautious and told him to “go and inquire properly” before making promises.

However, before he could make things official, her father had already accepted marriage arrangements from another man.

“Although the introduction never happened, my father had already arranged my marriage before he travelled,” she explained.

Tope Alabi shared the story as a reminder that delay is not denial, and that God’s plans always come through — even when the journey is filled with disappointment.
