Popular skit maker and content creator Samuel Bankole, better known as Samuel Banks, is going through a tough moment after losing his newly purchased iPhone 17 Pro Max during the Luli Concert held on Friday at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.
Just days before the unfortunate incident, Samuel had been celebrating a major milestone — the purchase of his new home. He had also been actively promoting the Luli Concert organized by the Celestial Church of Christ, expressing excitement about the event and what fans could expect.
In a promotional video shared earlier, Samuel appeared in his signature white garment, inviting attendees to join the spiritual gathering. However, a viral clip making rounds online now shows a visibly distressed Samuel Banks frantically searching for his missing phone.
In the video, he is seen pacing anxiously and discussing the situation with a man nearby while his partner stood close, looking worried. Onlookers were also seen trying to call his number in hopes of tracking the phone, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
This incident has sparked sympathy from fans and fellow entertainers online. It also brings to mind similar celebrity experiences — such as DJ Cuppy, who had her phone stolen in London a few years ago when it was snatched from her hand while walking on the street.
