Tragedy has reportedly struck Nollywood with the sudden passing of popular actor and comedian Odira Nwobu in the early hours of Monday, November 24, 2025. While the news remains unconfirmed, it quickly went viral, leaving fans and industry colleagues in shock.
According to journalist Stanley Ontop, Odira, widely known for his comedic persona “Joseph The Dreamer”, allegedly died of high blood pressure shortly after returning from a club in South Africa. Ontop shared: “According to the report, he had high blood pressure. Omo it’s well, someone who was in club last night.”
Born on May 24, 1982, in Enugu, Odira Nwobu was a talented actor and content creator. Earlier this year, in June 2025, he survived a severe car crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, emerging as the sole survivor, a moment that highlighted his resilience
