Nigerian entertainer Speed Darlington has sparked reactions online after sharing a funny Christmas experience involving a woman who sent him a festive message.
Speaking during an Instagram livestream, the singer claimed the Christmas greeting was not sent out of goodwill but was a subtle attempt to ask him for money. According to him, he suspected the message was a setup to “bill” him financially.
Speed Darlington also alleged that the woman smokes, a habit he said makes her unsuitable for marriage. He added that he was concerned about the possible effects such habits could have on future children.
Describing himself as a “stingy man,” the entertainer said he intentionally ignored the message to avoid falling into what he called a “billing trap.” His comments amused many fans, with several reacting humorously to his blunt remarks.
