Nollywood actor Mike Ezurounye has continued to react to the controversy surrounding a viral video of him and actress Toyin Abraham at her recent movie premiere.
A few days ago, the video sparked mixed reactions online after Ezurounye was seen tossing bundles of money around Toyin Abraham several times before handing them to her. Toyin later threw the money to singer Segun Johnson, who was performing at the event. Some social media users overanalysed the moment and linked it to negative interpretations.
Reacting to the backlash, Mike Ezurounye dismissed the claims, explaining that he was simply celebrating a colleague and having fun while performing the popular “robo robi” dance. He advised netizens to stop reading unnecessary meanings into harmless moments.
To further address the situation, the actor shared another video on his page, where he and Toyin Abraham recreated the viral scene. This time, the roles were reversed, with Toyin playfully tossing her hands around Mike before both of them laughed and hugged.
With the recreated video, Ezurounye appeared to mock the so-called “juju analysts,” making it clear that there was nothing mysterious or negative about the original moment, but just two colleagues enjoying themselves at a celebration.
