Actor Femi Adebayo’s estranged wife calls him out — see why.

Omotayo Sanusi, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo, has reacted strongly to an allegation published by a member of the actor’s family in Punch Newspaper.

The family member had claimed that Omotayo, also known as Iyan Aladuke, was fully aware of the circumstances that led to her eviction from a Lagos property, stating that it was part of a bank recovery process and not a deliberate action by Femi Adebayo.

Responding publicly, Omotayo said she is currently going through a very difficult time and never intended to bring the issue to social media. However, she said she was left with no choice following what she described as lies and damage control efforts against her.

In an emotional statement, she revealed that she was falsely accused and heavily criticised last year but survived with the support of good people around her. She said the situation has now changed, adding that attempts to disgrace her have instead exposed the truth.

Omotayo alleged that nearly 20 armed men were taken to a public place to evict her, insisting that such an action was bound to attract public attention. She further claimed that her aged mother was forcefully thrown out during the eviction, despite those involved knowing that her mother regularly visits to help care for her child.

She accused her estranged husband of trying to silence her by attacking her reputation and said she is no longer willing to stay quiet. According to her, efforts to protect his image have been done without regard for who gets hurt in the process.

Omotayo also alleged that Femi Adebayo staged a sudden visit to their son’s school after being absent for about a year, despite his office being close to the family home. She claimed pictures from the visit were used to polish his public image, while she and her family were allegedly evicted shortly after. She said she anticipated negative media reports the moment she heard about the school visit and photo-taking.

She concluded by demanding that whoever published the alleged false narratives in Punch Newspaper should retract them. Omotayo stressed that she has remained silent only because of her son, warning that she will no longer tolerate being pushed or misrepresented.
