A fresh controversy has shaken the Lagos transport union following serious allegations made by former NURTW strongman, Ganiyu Oyedepo, popularly known as Koko Zaria, against his former boss, Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo.
The allegations surfaced in a viral video circulating on social media, where Koko Zaria accused MC Oluomo of having romantic relationships with his girlfriends and even his wives. In the emotional video, Koko Zaria said he had kept silent for years despite feeling deeply betrayed by someone he once respected and trusted as a leader.
Speaking angrily, he claimed that his former boss crossed personal boundaries and yet still expects respect from him. He also expressed frustration over the criticism he faces online, with many people accusing him of being disloyal and ungrateful.
According to Koko Zaria, instead of responding to the attacks, he chose to pray for those insulting him, saying he hopes they never experience the kind of pain he went through. He added that the humiliation he suffered was private, but the judgment he now faces is public.
The rift between both men is not new. Koko Zaria was once known as one of MC Oluomo’s most loyal allies within the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). However, their relationship reportedly broke down after Koko Zaria switched loyalty to Mustapha, who later emerged as chairman of the Lagos chapter of the union. This move is believed to have worsened the internal crisis within the union.
In the same video, Koko Zaria warned that he is holding back damaging information about his former boss. He said continued harassment from MC Oluomo’s associates could force him to reveal more details. According to him, MC Oluomo blocked his progress and took everything valuable from him, yet he still chose silence for peace.
The video has sparked intense reactions online. Some social media users warned about the importance of boundaries, while others claimed Koko Zaria had always been loyal to MC Oluomo for many years. Some commenters even compared the situation to biblical stories of betrayal, saying loyalty is often repaid with pain.
As the video continues to trend, many Nigerians are closely watching to see if the long-running feud between both men will escalate further.
