“Life could have been worse, but it chose to be better” – Nollywood Actress Ashabi Celebrates Birthday With Gratitude and Deep Reflections

Nollywood actress Omobolarinde Akinyanju, popularly known as Ashabi, is celebrating her birthday today, and she marked the special day with prayers, gratitude, and personal reflections.

Taking to her Instagram page, the mother of two shared beautiful photos of herself dressed in white. In her post, Ashabi thanked God for the gift of life, noting that things could have turned out worse for her, but God made them better. She described her birthday as a moment of thanksgiving and reflection.

Ashabi also prayed for herself as she steps into a new year. She asked God for peace, comfort, wealth, and prosperity. She further prayed that she would not lack good things in life and would not experience sorrow or bitter tears.

“Finally, it’s my birthday. Happy blessed birthday to me. Thank God for the gift of life. It could be worse, but it chose to be better. Alhamdulillah. May this new age of mine bring peace, comfort, wealth, and fame. May I not lack good things in life, and may I not mourn or cry bitterly,” she wrote.

Her post attracted warm birthday wishes from colleagues and fans. Actress Toyosi Adesanya wished her a happy birthday and encouraged her to age gracefully. Olayinka Solomon and Mustapha Sholagbade also sent birthday messages to celebrate her special day.

Earlier, Ashabi had stirred reactions online after sharing photos of herself dressed like a mad woman. She explained that the photos represented what life showed her in her late 20s and how life wanted her to look, but God had other plans for her.

The actress also recently opened up about her personal life, describing her relationship with singer Portable as challenging. She referred to him as a narcissist and said his jealousy and anger issues make his actions unpredictable. According to Ashabi, she wakes up every day thinking of how best to manage the situation.

While counting down to her birthday, Ashabi revealed that she has no regrets, only many lessons learned. She said she has surrendered everything to God, trusting that whatever is meant to be will be.
