Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has expressed confidence that whoever succeeds him as governor will perform even better, saying his administration has laid a strong foundation for the state’s development.
Governor Otti made this statement on Sunday during a ground reception service organised in his honour by the Assemblies of God Church, Okaiuga–Nkwoegwu, in Umuahia North Local Government Area.
Speaking at the event, the governor said his administration is only just beginning, noting that his government is not yet three years old. He added that the time for rapid and aggressive development in Abia State has now begun.
Otti said that by the time his administration completes its tenure in 2031, the progress made in the state would be very clear to everyone. He stressed that the obstacles that had held Abia back in the past have been removed.
According to him, the “curse” that once slowed the state’s growth has been broken, and Abia has moved forward permanently. He added that there is no chance of the state returning to its former ways.
The governor also expressed confidence in the future leadership of the state, saying that his successor would build on the foundation already laid and do even better. He concluded by assuring the people of Abia that the state is on the right path and moving steadily toward long-term development.
