Israel DMW, aide to Nigerian music star Davido, has publicly supported his boss following recent controversy involving Sophia Momodu’s lawyer.
Reports had earlier claimed that Davido lost his temper during a court session in Yaba. A lawyer, Maruf Muhammed, alleged on Twitter that the singer caused a scene during cross-examination and created tension in the courtroom.
Reacting to the claims, Davido denied asking for full custody of his daughter. He clarified that he only requested joint custody. The singer further revealed that he has decided to withdraw the case, adding that his daughter will grow up knowing that he fought for her.
In a now-deleted Instagram story, Davido also expressed frustration. He warned the public to be careful of women who “carry churches on their heads like a cross,” saying such people can be deeply calculating and may not care about others’ feelings when causing harm. He also described the lawyer involved as “wicked and useless.”
Israel DMW later joined in criticizing Sophia Momodu’s lawyer, showing solidarity with Davido as the situation continues to generate reactions online.
