Prince Odi Okojie has publicly expressed pride in his wife, Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson, following her recent political appointment.
It was earlier reported that the Governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, appointed Mercy Johnson as Special Adviser on Public Engagement and Advocacy.
Reacting to the appointment, Mercy Johnson shared a message of gratitude. She thanked the Governor for the trust and confidence placed in her. According to her, the new role is not just a call to serve, but also a call to connect with the people, listen to their concerns, and advocate with purpose. She said she accepts the responsibility with humility, dedication, and a strong commitment to service, adding that she fully supports the Governor’s agenda for the state.
Taking to his Instagram page, Prince Odi Okojie congratulated his wife on what he described as a well-deserved achievement. He said he is truly proud of her and thanked Governor Okpebholo for finding her worthy of the honour.
