A woman has sparked conversations online after sharing the response she received from a man she tried to get to know through Instagram direct messages.
According to her post, it was the first time she ever “shot her shot” on Instagram. She shared a screenshot of the conversation, explaining how she decided to express interest in the man.
In the message, the woman started by complimenting him, describing him as “God’s artwork.” When that did not get a positive reaction, she tried again, telling him she liked his vibe and would like them to be friends. She also went ahead to ask for his phone number.
However, her efforts were met with a cold and rude response. Instead of engaging her politely, the man dismissed her message and told her, “You’re embarrassing yourself.”
The exchange has since generated mixed reactions online, with many people sympathising with the woman, while others debated how people should handle rejection on social media.
