Actress Liz Da Silva reveals the most painful part as she reacts to Papa Ajasco actor Abiodun Ayoyinka’s cry for help.

Nollywood actress Liz Da Silva has reacted to the emotional interview of veteran actor Abiodun Ayoyinka, who is popularly known for his role as Papa Ajasco.

In a recent interview with Lucky Udu, Ayoyinka spoke about the financial difficulties he has been facing in recent years. He explained that although he became famous for playing the character Papa Ajasco, the name and character are trademarked by the production company, meaning he does not have the full rights to use it for personal projects, advertisements, or endorsements.

The actor said he must seek permission whenever he wants to use the character commercially, which has limited his opportunities. He also revealed that life after retirement has been very difficult. According to him, since retiring five years ago from the Lagos State Council for Arts and Culture, he has struggled financially and currently does not own a house or a car.

Reacting to the interview, Liz Da Silva expressed disappointment about the situation, especially the fact that the actor does not have full rights to the name he helped make popular. She questioned whether the producers would have treated the situation the same way if the actor had been a family member.

The Yoruba actress also said she has been trying to reach out to Ayoyinka to offer support but has not yet received a response. She added that she plans to try again and hopes to connect with him soon.

The interview and Liz Da Silva’s reaction have sparked conversations online about the welfare of veteran actors and the rights of performers over the characters they make famous.
