Rotimi Salami cries out for support as Kilanko records low cinema sales; receives prayers from veteran Yetunde Wunmi (Video)

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Rotimi Salami has appealed to fans and movie lovers for support after his film Kilanko recorded poor sales at the cinemas.

The actor shared his concerns in a post on his Instagram page, where he uploaded a video showing veteran actress Yetunde Wunmi praying for him. In the post, Rotimi revealed that ticket sales for the movie during the last weekend were disappointing.

According to him, the situation was the reason he stayed quiet on social media on Monday. He explained that if the movie fails to reach the expected sales target this week, it could be removed from cinemas even before the end of Ramadan.

Expressing his worries, the actor thanked those who attended the meet-and-greet sessions and those who came out to watch the movie, but admitted that the number of viewers was still very small.

Rotimi urged the public to support the film, describing Kilanko as a beautiful movie that everyone should watch. He also appreciated Yetunde Wunmi for offering prayers and encouragement during the challenging moment.

His appeal has since sparked reactions from fans and colleagues, with many promising to support the movie and encourage others to see it in cinemas.
