The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has instructed candidates registered for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to begin printing their examination slips.
The board confirmed this update on Thursday, advising candidates to visit its official website to download their slips before the exam date. According to JAMB, the slip contains important details such as the examination venue, date, and time, and it is required for entry into the examination hall.
Candidates are expected to log on to the JAMB portal and click on the “2026 Slip Printing” option to access and print their slips.
This announcement comes shortly after JAMB debunked a viral press release that falsely claimed the examination had been postponed. The board described the information as fake and malicious, urging candidates to ignore it.
The 2026 UTME is scheduled to take place from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 25, 2026.
The examination will follow a mock test held on March 28, during which some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres experienced technical issues. Despite this, JAMB has assured candidates that preparations for the main examination are on track.
