Dangote Raises Petrol Price to ₦1,275 per Litre, Halts Fuel Sales Temporarily

The Dangote Refinery has announced an increase in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol), raising it by ₦75 per litre.

With the new adjustment, the refinery has increased its petrol loading price from ₦1,200 to ₦1,275 per litre. Coastal supply prices also rose to ₦1,215 per litre.

Officials confirmed the change, stating:

“Yes, the increase of PMS to ₦1,275 per litre is true. Coastal price is ₦1,215.”

Reports also indicate that the price adjustment came alongside operational disruptions. A source revealed that the refinery stopped its Proforma Invoice entry process around 4:00 pm on Tuesday, which affected normal fuel loading schedules.

The temporary suspension reportedly led to a halt in the sale of both petrol and Automotive Gas Oil, causing uncertainty in supply distribution across the downstream petroleum market.

The development has already begun to impact market activities, with industry stakeholders closely monitoring the situation.
