Nollywood actor and producer Adeniyi Johnson has issued a public warning about an impersonator using his identity to scam people.
The actor shared a screenshot of a message from a man reportedly based in the UK who has been pretending to be him. He made it clear that he has no connection to the individual and does not support any activities linked to the impersonator.
Adeniyi also stressed that he does not use the phone number in question and currently has no manager or personal assistant handling deals on his behalf.
In his words:
“I do not know this person or represent whatever he or she stands for… I have never used this number, and I have no manager or personal assistant. Please ignore any chats or business proposals from him or her.”
He urged the public to disregard any communication from the scammer and report the number, while also praying that his reputation remains protected.
The actor’s warning has sparked awareness online, with fans commending him for speaking up and encouraging others to stay cautious of online impersonation scams.
