Veteran Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, has spoken out against the growing habit of gatecrashing at events and parties.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, the actress questioned why some people attend events without being invited. She asked about their purpose and what they hope to achieve by showing up unannounced.

Kate Henshaw also addressed individuals who receive invitations meant for one person but arrive with several friends or family members without informing the host. She described such behaviour as disrespectful and inappropriate.

According to her, such actions will not be tolerated in her own space, as she urged people to respect themselves and honour event boundaries.

In her words, she said:

“Why do you show up uninvited at events? What is your purpose? If you are given an invite for one person, you bring many people along without asking. It is rude. Respect yourself enough to stay away from places you are not invited to.”

Her statement has since sparked conversations online, with many agreeing with her stance and sharing similar experiences about gatecrashers at social events.
