Another Family Member Demands Answers Over Alex Ekubo’s Death and Burial

The controversy surrounding the death and burial of late Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo has continued to grow as another member of his family, Clinton Ekubo, has publicly spoken out.

In a lengthy Facebook post, Clinton supported earlier statements made by David Ekubo and Ify Ekubo, saying they were right to question the circumstances surrounding the actor’s death and burial.

According to Clinton, Alex’s stepmother allegedly took control of important decisions in the actor’s life without the knowledge of the Ekubo Okwareke family. He claimed she arranged Alex’s marriage to the daughter of one of her close friends, leaving the family shocked when they later discovered he had gotten married.

Clinton also alleged that Alex gradually became distant from his biological family and instead grew closer to his stepmother’s relatives. He claimed the actor regularly attended events organized by his stepmother’s family while keeping his biological relatives at a distance.

He further alleged that no member of the family knew Alex had been ill before his death. According to him, the family only learned that the actor had died after his stepmother publicly announced the news.

Clinton also questioned why the family was not involved in planning Alex’s funeral. He claimed that the burial arrangements were handled by the actor’s friends and his stepmother without consulting members of the Ekubo family.

Raising more questions, Clinton said the family still wants answers about the exact cause of Alex’s death. He alleged that they noticed what appeared to be blood clots on the actor’s eyes and questioned whether it was related to the illness that reportedly claimed his life.

He stressed that the family was not interested in Alex’s property or inheritance but simply wanted a full explanation about the events leading to his death. According to Clinton, since the family could not get clear answers privately, they felt compelled to speak publicly.

The latest statement adds to the growing public dispute within the Ekubo family, as relatives continue to demand transparency regarding the late actor’s illness, death, and burial arrangements.
