Award-winning Afrobeats singer Davido has seemingly continued his recent social media exchange with fellow musician Erigga, this time drawing attention to his impressive collection of luxury cars.
The development comes shortly after a public clash between the two artistes over a social media post made by Erigga about musicians who were not born into wealthy families and had to work their way to success.
Erigga had given a shout-out to musicians who, according to him, did not come from family money but had to “grind for every single dollar” they earned. Although he did not mention Davido by name, the post was widely interpreted by social media users as a subtle reference to the singer, who was born into a wealthy family.
Davido subsequently responded to the post, arguing that coming from a wealthy family does not prevent someone from working hard to achieve success
The singer also took a swipe at Erigga, telling him to stop with what he described as “useless motivation” and calling him an “imbecile.”
Following their exchange, Davido has now appeared to reignite the conversation by sharing a video of himself standing in front of his garage while surrounded by several expensive vehicles.
In the video posted on his social media platforms, the singer was seen casually eating while displaying his fleet of luxury cars, a move many online users interpreted as a possible indirect response to Erigga.
