A man identified as Mr Samuel Isaac Ogbonnaya has announced the cancellation of his wedding to Miss Gift Oriaku, which was scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
Ogbonnaya made the announcement through a post on Facebook, informing members of the public that the planned marriage ceremony had been called off due to what he described as “irreconcilable developments” that had recently arisen.
In the notice, the would-be groom apologised to family members, friends, guests and others who may have been affected by the sudden cancellation.
He also appealed to the public for understanding and asked for their continued prayers and support as he deals with the situation.
Ogbonnaya wrote:
“Cancellation of Marriage. I, Mr Samuel Isaac Ogbonnaya, wish to use this medium to inform the general public that the wedding between myself, Mr Samuel Isaac Ogbonnaya and Miss Gift Oriaku, slated to hold tomorrow, Saturday, the 19th Day of September 2026, has been called off due to irreconcilable developments that just arose.”
He continued:
“I sincerely regret and apologise to everyone for any inconveniences this may have caused, and I appeal that the public should please bear with me even as I implore your continued prayers and support. May God bless everyone.”
The announcement means the wedding, which was expected to take place on September 19, will no longer go ahead as scheduled. Ogbonnaya did not provide further details about the nature of the developments that led to the cancellation.
