President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has celebrated his wife, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, as she clocks 66 on Monday, September 21, 2026, describing her as his “truest friend and confidante.”
In a heartfelt birthday message, the President praised Oluremi for standing by him through different seasons of their life together, particularly during difficult periods when the future was uncertain.
Tinubu said his wife had supported him with patience, grace and courage, adding that she often understood his concerns even before he expressed them. He also praised her for being honest with him and giving him advice even when it was difficult for him to hear.
The President highlighted Oluremi’s role in their family, saying their children and grandchildren had grown under the influence of her prayers, faith and values.
He also acknowledged her humanitarian activities, particularly through the New Era Foundation and the Renewed Hope Initiative, saying her efforts have focused on supporting young people, widows, elderly citizens and women farmers. He further praised her advocacy for people affected by tuberculosis and other illnesses.
Reflecting on their long journey together, Tinubu said their relationship had been shaped by difficult decisions, sacrifices, laughter and prayer. He then made a deeply personal declaration about their marriage.
“If life returned me to the beginning, I would choose the same road that led me to you. Through every mile, my heart has always remained at home with you,” he said.
Tinubu concluded his tribute by thanking Oluremi for the life and love they have built together and prayed for many more years of good health, joy and happiness for his wife.
