The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has extended the deadline for candidates with outstanding admission offers from 2021 to 2025 to either accept or reject the offers through its Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
According to a statement shared by the board on its official X handle on Wednesday, affected candidates now have until November 30, 2026, to take action on their admission offers.
JAMB urged all candidates with pending offers to log into their CAPS accounts and indicate whether they intend to accept or reject the admission.
The board stated:
“JAMB has extended the deadline for affected candidates to 30 November 2026 to accept or reject their outstanding admission offers on CAPS.”
JAMB further warned that candidates who fail to respond before the new deadline risk losing their outstanding admission offers.
According to the board, any offer that remains neither accepted nor rejected after November 30, 2026, will automatically revert to “Not Admitted” on JAMB’s records.
The examination body therefore advised affected candidates not to wait until the deadline and to check their CAPS accounts as soon as possible to complete the required action.
The extension provides candidates with outstanding offers from the affected admission years additional time to regularise their admission status before the offers are removed from JAMB’s records.
