Renowned Nollywood film critic and radio broadcaster Tolu Fagbure has opened up about his experience working with actress Mo Bimpe, now married to actor Lateef Adedimeji.
Speaking in an interview, Fagbure recalled an encounter he had with the actress in 2018, when someone recommended her to him for a movie project. He said he subsequently contacted her and sent her the script for consideration.
According to him, he waited for about three days without receiving a response. When he contacted Bimpe, she reportedly apologised and explained that she was busy on a movie location.
Fagbure said he reached out to her again, but was surprised when the actress asked him to narrate the movie story to her because she was still busy. He described the response as unprofessional, particularly because he had already sent her the script.
The film critic said he confronted her during their conversation, after which she eventually read the script and contacted him.
Reflecting on the incident years later, Fagbure suggested that Bimpe’s behaviour at the time may have been deliberate or an attempt to show off.
He also expressed the belief that the actress may have matured since then, particularly now that she is married to Lateef Adedimeji.
Fagbure said: “I believe she must have better sense now that she is Adebimpe Oyebade Adedimeji.”
He maintained that his criticism was based on his experience with the actress during the movie project and the way he felt the interaction was handled.
