“She’s the Product of My First Pregnancy” – Aisha Lawal Reveals Loss of Twin Son, Explains Why She Hid Daughter’s Face (Video)

Nollywood actress Aisha Lawal has opened up about a painful experience involving the loss of one of her children while explaining why she deliberately covered her daughter’s face at a recent birthday party.

The actress addressed the issue during an interview with Morayo Afolabi Brown, following criticism from some social media users who questioned her decision to conceal her daughter’s identity at the event.

Aisha explained that her daughter, Zara, was conceived during her first pregnancy in her 30s. According to the actress, she was pregnant with twins at the time, but unfortunately lost the other baby, a boy.

She said the experience influenced her decision to protect Zara from unnecessary public exposure, particularly because she is concerned about the way children can be treated and bullied online.

Aisha said:

“Yes, I deliberately covered my daughter’s face at Rakeem’s birthday party because she is the product of my first pregnancy. I became pregnant with them when I was in my 30s, and did you know she had a twin brother who later left?”

The actress urged people to understand the difficult journey she experienced before having her daughter, stressing that her decision to keep Zara away from social media is deliberate.

She explained that she is uncomfortable with exposing her daughter to the internet because of the possibility of online bullying and criticism directed at children.

“I want you all to understand what I went through before having her. I don’t want my daughter Zara to be on the internet at all because I’m not comfortable with the way some people bully children. I don’t care about the backlash online.”

Aisha also revealed that she has intentionally kept her partner and the father of her children away from the public eye.

According to the actress, she believes that maintaining privacy around certain aspects of her personal life can help preserve them from unnecessary public scrutiny.

“I also deliberately kept my partner and the father of my children away from the public space because I discovered that whatever is covered or concealed is treated with honour and respect.”

Her comments have provided more context to her decision to protect her daughter's privacy and have highlighted the personal experiences behind her approach to keeping parts of her family life away from social media.
