Nigerian rapper OdumoduBlvck has shared his views on love, marriage and the responsibilities he believes a man should be willing to take for the woman he loves.
The rapper made the remarks while appearing on the In Motion Podcast, where he discussed how his Christian faith influences his understanding of love and the role of a husband in a marriage.
According to OdumoduBlvck, a man who genuinely loves his woman should be willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for her. He referenced the sacrifice of Jesus Christ as the foundation for his belief.
“Any man wey talk say he no fit d+e for him woman na big fool,” OdumoduBlvck said. “Because me now I’m a Christian.”
The rapper further explained that he expects his future wife to be younger than him and believes he would likely die before her. He said he would want her to take care of their children and continue building on the legacy he started.
OdumoduBlvck also used the game of chess to illustrate the importance he places on women within relationships. According to him, the queen is the strongest piece on the chessboard, which he used as a metaphor for the position he believes a woman should occupy.
“If you don’t understand the concept of loving a woman, putting a woman where a woman is meant to be… if you look at chess, the strongest piece na queen,” he stated.
The rapper also reflected on his upbringing, particularly the influence of his mother on his attitude towards generosity. He recalled growing up around a woman who was willing to give freely, even when the possessions belonged to her.
OdumoduBlvck said that experience shaped his own approach to money and giving, influencing how he relates to what he has today.
