Alhaji Lawal Kaita, who was major in the Second Republic and also elected as the third civilian governor of the old Kaduna State is dead. He died at the Turkish Hospital, Abuja, yesterday evening.
The late Lawal Kaita was elected as Governor of the old Kaduna State on the platform of the defunct National Party of Nigeria, NPN, in October 1983.
May his soul rest in peace. He died age 85.
