Last weekend, the state of Kano hosted the family of the Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi for the Lefe ceremony of Fatima Ganduje, daughter of Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and Idris Ajimobi son of Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
The Lefe is the Hausa customs whereby the groom’s family buys all sorts of gifts ranging from jewellery to clothes, wrappers, underwear, cosmetics for the bride.
The bride was said to receive 27 $5000 customised Louis Vuitton travel boxes.
His Royal Highness Emir of Kano, Sanusi and other past governor of Kano and Oyo states were said to be present.
