Moment Of How Nollywood Stars Storm Ijebu Dad's Burial In Ilishan Remo


Famous comic actor, Olatayo Amokade  popularly known as Ijebu assembled Nollywood stars in Ilishan Remo, Ogun State, for the burial of his father, Pa Kolawole Emmanuel Amokade aka Abanise Ni Oluwa (Bafumbi), who died on 29th November 2019 at age 88. It was a social affair of who is who in the Yoruba movie genre of Nollywood.

The occasion which took six days commenced on Monday 17th February 2020 with Town Parade at exactly 10am. Tuesday 18th February was for Carpenters Obeisance at Baba’s residence at 6 Aiyegbami street, Ilishan Remo, Wednesday and Thursday were for the service of songs at Baba’s house. Gbedu Drummers took up the programme on Friday 21st 2020 at 8am as his body left Babcock University Teaching Hospital Morgue. Soon after that, lying in state followed around 10am and Christian wake keep was held at 4pm at the same address.

The burial service was held at Methodist Church, Ilishan Remo on Saturday 22nd 2020. He was buried in his house and guests were entertained at Isanbi Comprehensive High School, Ilishan Remo.

 An Ijebu based musician who performed for the family, commenced the party. He was there doing what he knows how to do best, showing the record of professionalism in him before famous Fuji Music star, Alhaji Alabi Pasuma change the atmosphere with his music when he took on the platform.

Nollywood stars who graced the occasion include TAMPAN President, Bolaji Amusan aka Mr Latin, Sanyeri, Muyiwa Ademola, Okunu, Golugo, Dayo Amusa, Jigan Baba Oja, Eko, Mama Eroko, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Okiki Afolayan, Tunde Dickson , Olohuniyo, Folorunsho Adeola, Bukky Adeeyo, Afeez Owo, Arike Akinwale, Iyabo Ojo, Mukah Ray and many others.
