President Muhammadu Buhari's Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari is dead.

The Chief of Staff to the president, Abba Kyari has died. He gave up the ghost on Friday April 17, after been tested for Coronavirus more than two weeks ago.

Reporting Kyari's demise on Twitter, Presidency spokesman Garba Shehu, wrote;

''The Presidency regrets to announce the passage of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari.

“The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment. But he died on Friday, April 17, 2020.”

''May God accept his soul. Funeral arrangements will be announced shortly.''

The Personal Assistant on News Media and the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Bashir Ahmad and Femi Adesina, respectively, also confirmed the death of the Cheif of Staff.

Ahmad tweeted, "Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari, has died. May Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him the highest rank of Jannah. Allah ya jikan sa".

Adesina wrote, "Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari, passes on. May God rest his soul. Amen. Funeral arrangements to be announced soon".
