I'm Not Using The Bad Situation To Replace Funke Akindele As NCDC Ambassador - Actress Toyin Abraham


Award winning actress, Toyin Abraham has responded to the reports that she has assumed control over her colleague’s position as  the new Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) ambassador.

It was before assembled that Toyin took over Funke Akindele-Bello position after she ridiculed Federal Government social distancing orders with her disreputable house party.

The center, through a post on its official social media page on Thursday, with partnership with other health agencies such as United Nations (UN) featured Toyin Abraham in an advertorial which was shot in Yoruba language, educate Nigerians on the significance of hand washing, as well as other coronavirus preventive measures.

Toyin Abraham, while responding to all these, stated that she’s not trying to take advantage of a bad situation.

“It has just been brought to my attention that blogs are reporting that I am now NCDC ambassador.  Implying that I have been used to replace a colleague.  That line of thought necessitate I put this out there. I am not an ambassador to NCDC. I do not like the narrative that I am trying to take advantage of a bad situation. I support the campaign against Covid-19, I appeared on a video campaign against the pandemic but please let’s not drag another person down. Thank you.
