According to Islamic rites, the former governor who died from COVID19 complications in Lagos on Thursday, June 25, was buried on his 6th Avenue, Yemoja Lane, Oluyole Estate residence in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
His wife Florence Ajimobi and other members of his family attended the funeral which was held in compliance with NCDC guidelines for the burial of COVID19 patients, no more than 20 in number.
Prayers was held at the Senator Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi Mosque, Oke-Ado, Ibadan about 12 noon for his repose.
A plot of land in Agodi GRA, the family's preferred place for his burial, was not accepted by the state government.
