COVID-19: Pharmacy Sells Hydroxychoroquine Sulfate For 50,000 Naira, Nigerians React.

A Twitter user caused controversy on the platform after posting a pack of Hydroxychloroquine sulfate and claiming to have been sold at a Port Harcourt Pharmacy for around 50,000 Naira.

Recall that the drug was highly labeled after a medical doctor from Nigeria said she used a mixture of hydroxychloroquine, zinc, and Zithromax to treat more than 350 Covid-19 patients and none died.

The claim of the doctor was strongly contested but the market for the medication has skyrocketed and that has made it costly.

There are reports that a pharmacy in Port Harcourt is offering a kit of 60 tablets of hydroxychloroquine sulfate for 50,000 Naira and Nigerians are shocked.
