Police Rescues Another Man Chained For 30 Years By His Father In Kano.

Murtala Muhammad, aged 55, has been rescued by Kano Police after his father locked him up in a room for 30 years.

Muhammad, a Kofar Fada resident in Kano State's Rogo Local Government Area, was rescued Thursday by police and the Human Rights Network.

Owing to his mental illness the victim was said to have been chained.

Comrade AA Haruna Ayagi, Human Rights Network's executive director, said Muhammad was 25 when he was locked up in the house.

This action came four days after Ibrahim Lawan, a man held hostage by his father in the same town for 15 years, was rescued by police.
