Well known Yoruba actress, Alhaja Musiliat Arikeusola, popularly known as Osuntohun is dead.
Osuntohun reportedly died in her house in Ijetu district, Osogbo, Osun State on Friday morning, age 67.
The representative for the Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria in Osun State, Ademola Adedokun, confirmed her death on Saturday at PUNCH.
Osuntohun, who rose to prominence in late Yekinni Ajileye's Koto Orun series and other Ajileye productions of the 90's after playing the roles of an occult being.
Adedokun 's statement described the late Osuntohun as
“passionate and committed actress who gave her best to the vocation.” According to Adedokun, besides her appearances in Koto Orun, Aye Akamora, Koto Aye, all produced by late Ajileye, Osuntohun also produced films such as 'Omi Ipin,' 'Imi Esin' and 'Ogun Omo Iya le' which he said was her last work.
