One among President Muhammadu Buhari 's daughter, Hanan Buhari, is married to the love of her life, Mohammed Turad who is a special adviser to Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola on the 4th of September.

The wedding was the first to hold at the Aso Villa, it was tagged “The First Wedding”

Their wedding was held in Aso Villa, Abuja, and below are first pictures taken from their Kamu event.


Kamu is one of the Northern culture Pre-wedding events.

Alhaji Mahmud Sani Sha'aban is said to be the father of Turad, he is a former legislator who represented Zaria in the House of Representatives from 2003 to 2007. Also, Alhaji Sha'aban is also an ex candidate for governorship in Kaduna State during the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria.

Hanan Buhari was a graduate of Photography from Ravensbourne University, England.

The wedding Fatiha was held at the presidential villa, Aso Rock, on the 4th of September.

As normal, in the presence of their immediate family, the couple will receive blessings from their families in a custom that will include reading the first verse of the Quran.

“In the view of the current COVID-19 pandemic and in compliance with the directives of the relevant health authorities of the country, usual gathering in such events will not, therefore, be health(sic).
“We, therefore, use this medium to request you to bear witness of the matrimony as we also solicit for your prayers for the success of the occasion (sic).”
