MC Oluomo, the chairman of the Lagos branch of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), is currently the talk on social media.
The refreshments donated by Musiliu Akinsanya a.k.a MC Oluomo have been rejected by Nigerians protesting against SARS.
Remember that Oluomo was accused of sending thugs to assault protesters in the area of Alausa, Ikeja on Thursday, 15th of October which he later denied.
However, young people seem not to trust him at the Lagos State House of Assembly on Friday as they refused food and drinks donated to them by him.
A day after the incident, MC Oluomo tried to redeem his image. Water and drinks were sent, labeled with his name.
Some of the protesters picked and drank from the water and drinks, unaware of who sent the packs, before a protester raised an alarm about the food.
He yelled, "MC Oluomo sent them, he wants to poison us, don't drink the water."
Other protesters who also examined the name on the bottles suggested that the bottles should be thrown at the white van that transported them.
Some of the protester shouted that “We don’t want any support from MC Oluomo, they are trying to break us, they want to penetrate again,”
The protesters threw bottles and other objects at the van, angered by the NURTW leader's gesture, as the driver sped from the venue to avoid being mobbed.
The Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in the State is MC Oluomo.
