Obafemi Awolowo's Glasses From His Statue Got Stolen By Angry Youth. (Photos)

 

Some angry youths who were rampaging up in the state of Lagos allegedly defaced the statue of the late Obafemi Awolowo in the state region of Ikeja.

In the middle of an assault on some of the Nigerian icons of history, the hoodlums stole the statue 's famous glasses.

Mind, the Nnamdi Azikwe monument was also targeted by hoodlums in the state of Anambra.

During the administration of former Lagos Governor Akinwumi Ambode, the Awolowo statue was erected in recognition of the late former lawyer's nationalist contribution to the democracy of the country.
