Adamu Mohammed, Nigeria's Police Inspector General, has urged police officers to use their guns to protect themselves if they face any kind of risk.
Although addressing police officers recently, Adamu has provided advice. The Chief of Police is currently on a tour of various state commands to assess the magnitude of the destruction suffered by each command during the civil unrest that broke out across the nation after the hoodlums hijacked the # EndSARS protests.
In the aftermath of the violence, many police officers were killed and several stations were burned.
"All that happened in terms of attacks on the police and police stations, should not stop us from coming out to perform our constitutional duties. But while we are performing this constitutional duties, we must also protect ourselves because every policeman is a human being and is also entitled to human rights protection.
