Today, Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has distributed sanitary pads to female students in six states.
The states are: Kaduna, Kwara, Ogun, Oyo, Cross River, and Lagos.
The 34-year-old posted a video from one of the schools he visited in the Instagram update on Wednesday.
Adedimeji said it was the youth who organized a campaign to raise consciousness of menstrual health and hygiene among young girls and the public under his Great Mind Initiative (GMI).
He said every girl child deserves at least one free pack of sanitary pads every month.
“Every organization has a core value and a central goal, without which they cannot have a central system for adequate performance.
“If condoms can be free, pads can also be free! #GMI @gmi_network says a big thank you to everyone that supported this campaign/project! God bless you,” he wrote.’
