Burna Boy won his first Grammys after being nominated in Best Global Music Album category.
His Twice as Tall album won awards over Antibalas (FU Chronicles), Bebel Gilberto (Agora), Anoushka Shankar (Love Letters) and Tinariwen (Amadjar). The recipient is Burna Boy's first Grammy Award to be nominated last year.
Burna Boy won the award months after the Recording Academy revealed plans to change the name of Best World Music Album to Best Global Music Album, claiming it's a step towards "a more appropriate, modern and inclusive concept."
