"Hear From Both Parties, Social Media Isn't A Court Of Law" Actress Adebimpe Akintunde Appeals To Nigerians After Baba Ijesha Was Arrested For Defiling A 14 Years Old Girl.

In the wake of the news that Nollywood actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, alias Baba Ijesha, was apprehended and charged with raping a fourteen-year-old child.

Nollywood actress Abiodun Adebimpe Akintunde has voiced her view, urging Nigerians to listen to her colleague's side of the story rather than dismissing him outright.

The actress mentioned on her Instagram page that she does not help Baba Ijesha and that as a woman with a daughter, she would never pray to see them molested.

According to the actress, dismissing cultures should not be the first response to the accusation, as she believes both sides should be given the opportunity to tell their side of the story.

"I am not supporting Baba Ijesha and I can never support a case of r*pe. I am a woman and I have a daughter and sisters, I will never pray we get molested. What I am saying is cancel culture shouldn’t be the first approach to allegations. Hear from both parties and most importantly, social media isn’t a court of law. The eagerness to spread negative news about celebrities is a cancer in Nigeria." the actress wrote.

Tonto Dikeh has reacted to this by urging authorities to deny Baba Ijesha bail and release him, despite the fact that he is a public figure, and describing him as an evil man. Read here for full story.
