Opeyemi Ayeola, a Nollywood star, has taken to social media to recount how she narrowly avoided being killed by self-medication.
The actress announced she was on a movie set in Lagos when she developed symptoms and thought she was suffering from malaria in a video posted to her Instagram page.
Opeyemi Ayeola said she called a doctor, who prescribed a prescription for her, which she took without first reading the tablet's side effects, which include drowsiness and nausea.
Opeyemi Ayeola claims that she felt the side effects after taking the first dose of the drug but drove from her home in Ogun State to Lagos to work on a movie set.
