Chief Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, a Yoruba activist, attacked Igangan in Oyo state's Ibarapa North Local Government Area on Monday evening, just days after it was reported that suspected herders killed people and damaged property in the village last weekend.
From inside the truck, Igboho was seen waving at the people and applauding their cheers in photographs uploaded online.
Riders from the Okada were also seen hailing him and riding alongside the Toyota Hilux that took him to town.
Igboho also attempted to sweep the forests during the visit, according to The Nation. According to Igboho's spokeswoman, Olayomi Koiki, the visit was to examine the level of destruction in the community and to interact with the locals.
