Yemi Olufela Solade, a popular Yoruba actor, has turned to Instagram to fight dirty with some of his followers over amala.
Yemi had shared a photo of himself eating a classic Yoruba dish called amala, ewedu, and gbegiri. Things took an unusual turn as a fan chastised him for eating the Yoruba traditional dish with silverware.
Yemi Solade wrote, “Make una join me…. AMALA + EWEDU/GBEGIRI + GOAT…. to be washed down with Cold Table Water.”
He was chastised by a follower for using silverware instead of his hands. He made a Yoruba comment,
Angry, Yemi called him "Ugly" and told him to go to the page of ugly people.
Another social media user commented, “A Yoruba Nollywood actor eating amala with spoon, this is how we quickly forget our own culture”. Yemi then took it upon his (the follower’s) father.
